Assembly aids using Tucker weld studs
Large modules such as the
cockpit and rear seat can be assemblied using the Tucker threadless centring
pin. These are used as reliable and easy centring aids.
The pin is welded using arc welding , creating the great benefit of this method. The centring pins are not
mounted on the body shell until it has been assembled. Tolerances caused by the
assembly of body parts are compensated and the module can be assembled with an
accurate fit.
